Kara Holmes is the Nurse Manager for the Richmond City Health Department through Virginia Health Department. Her current position encompasses oversite for multiple clinical services and WIC services site. She is on the VCU SON PROMOTE Nursing Advisory Board, LARC Stakeholder Workgroup and Virginia Diabetes Council. She has also received her Well Workplace Practitioner through WELCOA.
Kara experience includes managing national award winning employee wellness program, managing medical intake teams of nurses and is the founder of OHS Consultants. She also worked in ICU, Homecare and Occupational Health Nursing in her home country, Canada. She has her BSN from University of Athabasca, her Occupational Nursing from University of Grant Macewan and her Masters in Health Promotion and Health Education from the University of Alabama.
